Mission Statement

PNHS is a progressive alliance between residents, business, and government that revitalizes targeted areas by promoting  affordable housing and community pride through the establishment of healthy neighborhoods.

Pocatello Neighborhood Housing Services is a chartered member of the NeighborWorks® network--trained and certified community development organizations at work in more than 2,000 communities across the United States.

PNHS was created by the community in 1993 to revitalize the central neighborhoods of Pocatello.  PNHS works towards this goal in several ways.

The PNHS HomeOwnership Center helps families in all stages of home ownership, through:

• Home purchase rehab programs
• Homebuyer Education
• Financial Fitness and counseling
• Home maintenance workshops

PNHS builds affordable housing and rehabilitates homes for resale.

The organization is currently governed by a 13 member Board of Directors.  Board membership represents different sectors of the Pocatello community, including residents of targeted neighborhoods, business leaders and government representatives.
